Live your best life now!!

Many times we get so busy and we forget how to live our best life now!!
We get caught up running from one errand to another to another non-stop.
Master the art of " slowing down" & enjoying the little pleasantries & pleasures of life like chatting with a friend, having a good laugh, just sitting & relaxing , enjoying painting or gardening with your child, putting a craft together slowly with your child etc-away from usual routine... This is the art of slowing down & enjoying your life now....investing in the things that matter... the ones that count-
Strive to slow down & live your best life now, do not be swallowed In the routine of life!!

Gratitude is the way of life....

Every day there are so many things we take for granted...
thy say you don't know what you've got until you loose it~
A perfect example is health or a job...that you call bad....
if only we could take time to appreciate the little things...
learn to change out attitudes around the not-so-good things....
learn to fit into God's perfect plan and put our fairy tales aside for a while...
we would be more fulfilled, more happy and more content with our simple lives...
if only we would thank God for what we've got and forget about what we do not have
Life ...would have new meaning...like literally divert our efforts to the things that really matter...
the issues life...which all spring from our hearts...
its an effort every single day of our lives....a conscious effort to bring into focus...
the issues that really matter without getting distracted....its like a race...you've got to focus on moving forward...without distractions from the left or right..sprinting towards the finish and staying strong to the finish without fainting or growing weary....this calls for daily reminding ourselves what really does matter...diverting our energies to the right stuff and choosing which battles are worth fighting ...not all are important...
Let us strive to stay focused and stay strong to the finish by fixing our eyes on the goal~Good luck!!

Inter-ludes....is life itslef too~

24 INTERLUDES OF LIFE

1. Don't go for looks, they can deceive. Don't go for wealth even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile.
2. There are moments in life when you really miss someone that you want to pick them up from your dreams and hug them. Hope you dream of that someone.
3. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want in life.
4. May you have...Enough happiness to make you sweet Enough trials to make you strong Enough sorrow to keep you human Enough hope to make you happy And enough money to keep you comfortable.
5. When one door of happiness closes, another opens. But we often took so long at the closed door, that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.
6. The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch, swing with, never saying a word and then walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had.
7. It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.
8. Always put yourself in other 's shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably does hurt the person too.
9. A careless word may kindle a strife;A cruel word may wreck a life A timely word may level stress A lovely word may heal and bless.
10. The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves and not to twist them with our own image, otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.
11. The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along the way.
12. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we should know how to be grateful for that gift.
13. It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
14. Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched and those who have tried. For only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.
15. Love is when you take away the feeling, the passion, the romance and find out you still care for that person.
16. A sad thing about life is that when you meet someone who means a lot to you only to find out in the end that it was never bound to be and you just have to let go.
17. Love starts with a smile, develops with a kiss and ends with a tear.
18. Love comes to those who still hope even though they've been disappointed, to those who still believe even though they've been betrayed, need to love those who still love, even though they've been hurt before.
19. It hurts to love someone, and not to be loved in return but what is most painful is to love someone and never finds the courage to let the person know how you feel.
20. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past. You can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
21. Never say goodbye when you still want to try;Never give up when you still feel you can take it;Never say you don't love that person anymore when you can't let go.
22. Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back. Don't expect love in return, just wait for it to grow in their hearts but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours.
23. There are things you love to hear but you would never hear it from the person whom you would like to hear it from, but don't be deaf to hear it from the person who says it with his heart.

24. When you were born, you were crying and the world was rejoicing on ur birth Live in a way such that when you die, let u rejoice and let the world cry.

Touching Lives....Empathizing...:)

Your soul needs regular times of retreat-
Strengthening your soul periodically changes you inside & inspires you to reach out-
Try putting yourself empathically in another person's shoes...
Read the newspaper, watch the news & interpret those stories as happenings to individuals loved by God-
Picture yourself as the mother trying to care for her family in the face of drought, famine, floods, ...through the hardships- the wife whose husband has died in war, children whose parents have died in an accident, the person who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness...
How do you feel?
What would you do next?
What do you need from others?
What do you long for from God?
Ok...now time for action...pray for all those you have read about or watched in the news....this is one of the simplest ways of touching lives that are far removed from your own-
Again do not stop there...Go further & resolve to open your eyes to the needs around you-to wear your compassion glasses...
It may not be your job in entirety to solve the world's problems...but you can make a difference in the lives of some of them-& that's all God expects from us... That we do our part to help those in need & to make the world a better place to live in-
For a cheerful heart does not count the cost of what he gives...His heart is set on pleasing & cheering him to whom the gift is given~

Flex your Muscles

In life...when trying to gain physical strength, we go to the gym or do a physical activity-
Spiritually when you want to strengthen your soul, we go to God-
Ask God to reveal your weaknesses & strengths; ask for insight on how to use your strengths in a way that will cause others to praise him instead of you-
Take a closer...honest look at your weaknesses...face them in the "eye"...this is the beginning of creating a personal work out program to strengthen your character as well as your soul-
It does not happen over- night ...it's a journey needing patience, perseverance , endurance & commitment-
For example if feat stares you in the face & hinders you from exercising your faith, find a scripture that reassures you of God's protection & meditate on such-
If you're struggling with a quick temper... Practice holding your tongue long enough to think wisely before speaking rashly whenever you get irritated-
Getting our souls in shape...takes practice, patience, persevere & commitment...the benefits last a lifetime ...Remember ...
"A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step"

Its a brand new day!!

After God created the world...he took a day off to rest & celebrate what he'd done-
The beginning of each new day, every new dawn, every sunrise, presents the same opportunity for you-
Today is filled with fresh opportunities, new mercies, new blessings-
Getting in the habit of celebrating the little things as well as the big things will help you become more aware of how priceless every day is...how extraordinary ...how praiseworthy...
Follow God's example ...look around you & acknowledge that what you have accomplished with God's help is good & is worth celebrating & being thankful for...
Yes it's a brand new day!!

~The soul of one who loves God always swims in joy, keeps holiday & is always in a mood of singing~^

Cherish your friends and appreciate them...:)

When your world seems dark...
and everything feels blue...
a real friend turns on the light...
and paints a different hue...

When skies are looking sunny...
and everything goes your way...
a friend is there to cheer you on
and celebrate your day..

And when the world is too busy...
to stop and listen to you...
a friend will stay all day long...
because their heart is true...

Cherish your friends and...
...let them know how much you appreciate them~

Brokenness...Vs Blessed...:)

You ask just why does God allow us through hard times-is it part if his love for us? How is that? why is that?
In life's shattering blows; it's hard to discern the blessing of God~
The death of a loved one, the loss of s job, a lingering tough illness, the abuse, a tough relationship, mistreatment...the list is endless...
These catalysts for brokenness all possess a wrenching pain and the possible power to forever change our lives~
The same catalysts also possess one more thing...when looked into/at with the right attitude...The potential for discovering a richness in living...that we would never see without being broken~
After brokenness we can experience God's greatest blessings...the dawn after a very dark night full of storms is glorious...Joy coming in the morning is just but ecstatic~
Our greatest therefore in brokenness is to look beyond the storm & see...get a glimpse of the promise of a blessing~
Brokenness-shifts our view from self- life to God's will for us~our ministry to other people & new dimensions of freedom, strength & peace-for all the trials you go through build your muscle...what doesn't kill you makes you stronger~
So...go ahead...pick up the pieces...with God's help...let him re- assemble the threads of your life into a wholeness that only the ones who've been through the oath of brokenness can ever know~^

Words...words...words...:)

A word is a sound or a combination of sounds, or it's representation in writing or printing...that symbolizes and communicates a meaning~
Most people speak 140-160 words a minute averaging to 1600 words per day~
Words kill... Words give life... Words can be either poison or fruit~
Our choice of words is critical for words reflect the condition of our hearts~
For out of the heart's overflow the mouth speaks~
Words affect us... affect our attitudes, actions & deeds~
Words impact others...attack character...question integrity...negate credibility & minimize confidence~
...and this is my best part...
Words can inspire hope, courage, assurance, inspiration & perseverance~
Words are irretrievable...therefore choose them carefully & aim at making your words fruit... Medicine & not poison~
As the psalmist put it in Psalm 19:14... Let the words of my mouth & the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength & my redeemer~Amen!!

Never say Die...:)

The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire-...
...the size of  your dream and how you handle disappointment along the way-
~Robert Kiyosaki~
Let nobody discourage you,let them not tell you , you cannot, let them not tell you to quit in whatever you want to achieve-
Learn to listen to only the people who encourage you and bring out the best in you-
When life offers you lemons...make lemonade and enjoy life~
When life offers you limes...just turn the letters around and create a smile~
The future is very bright to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams for...
a life without dreams is like a garden without flowers...so
when you get another NO...just smile and know that it stands for Next Opportunity...
so wake up everyday with purpose for you know you have a divine duty and you have dreams to chase~
~Never ever quit...never say die~

Its not the troubles...its your reaction..:)

It's not the troubles that trouble you. It's the way you react to them.
What if you could choose not to let the troubles get to you? What if you could work your way through them while remaining positive and joyful? What if you could dance in the rain? What if you could sing in the storm?
Life's difficulties do not need your help. They are plenty difficult on their own, without you adding to them.
So make the choice not to add to them. Acknowledge their reality, deal effectively with them, but don't allow them to pull you down.
The way you feel is the way you choose to feel.It is a decision.
Choose to feel powerful, choose to feel in control, choose to feel purposeful, abundant and joyful because at the heart of you... you are.
The living spirit in you is stronger than any trouble you'll ever encounter. Remember that, feel its truth, and live your joy no matter what.
"Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you wish, but you only spend it once".
Lillian Dickson

No matter what...Endevour to be glad..:))

No matter how deep the sadness or wide the pain...I vow to live for a brighter day will come again.
No matter how many mistakes I’ve made in the past...I vow to live and in the future avoid them, surefooted and fast.
No matter how many tragedies beyond my control take place...I vow to live and stay my course within this race. No matter how poor or rich I may ever be...I vow to live and aspire to search for the dignity in simplicity.
No matter how much a lover may pierce the inner core of my heart...I vow to live for like spring I’ll get a new start.
No matter how isolated and alone I may feel,...I vow to live and do something for someone else to heal. No matter how hopeless my situation my appear...I vow to live and reflect until my viewpoint is clear.
No matter what happens in this life – good or bad...I vow to live, do my best, and just for living – be glad."

Your Dream is Calling You

Climb every mountain, search high and low
Follow every byway, every path you know.
Climb every mountain, ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow, 'til you find your dream"!

We've all been encouraged, by someone, to go out and live our dreams. Our dreams, themselves, have even been personally calling us for many years but we have not taken the call.

Most of us may have even looked at the caller Id and decided not to
answer. There's also a percentage of us that hide behind
excuses, like -- "I don't know what my calling is" or "I
don't have a dream." Those excuses have merely kept us in
the bleachers of life, refusing to come onto the playing
field.

As a wise man once said "Excuses are the tools of the
incompetent, used to build bridges that go absolutely
nowhere." The simple truth of the matter is that most people
have allowed fear to paralyze their dreams and goals.

Well no need to worry... your dreams are STILL calling you and
they're orchestrating certain events in your lives,
specifically designed to get your full attention!

So often, we are visited by concepts and insights, for witty
inventions and ideas, which we never act on. Another wise man once
said, "Procrastination is a thief and you must evict it out
of your life, before it becomes a murderer!"

Procrastination, if given enough time, will become a
murderer of all the dreams, ideas, and greatness on the
inside of you.

Make a decision, today, to remove all excuses and accept the
calling on your life. Uncover what it is you love to do so much,
that you'd do it for free. Once you've figured that out, do it so
well that people will want to pay you for it! Choose, this day, to
longer accept mediocrity.

Give life and breath to all the talents, dreams, and
potential that lay dormant inside you - because the world is
waiting for your book, your song, your dance, your
composition. The world is waiting for your unique and
special gift!

Follow every river...till you find your dream.

Life is an echo..)))))))))))))))))))))))

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. …If you are kind people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives, be kind anyway. If you are successful you will build very many false friends and some true friends, succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you, be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy over night. Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous, be happy anyway. … The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have. It may never be enough. Give the world the best you’ve got anyway. You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”

Life is an echo..what you send out, comes back. What you sow, you reap, What you give, you get. What you see in others, exist in you. Do not judge, so you will not be judged. Radiate and give love and loves come back to you.

Life is full of challenges. Being happy shouldn't be one of them. In our lives we face so much difficulty, especially when we try to grab life by the horns on a daily basis in our best effort to seize every day and to go after our dreams. One principle that we must absorb while we experience life is that our happiness has a lot to do with the type of attitude that we are willing to live with. If we choose to look at life negatively and only see the darkness in life we will miss out on the beautiful stars that shine brightly in the sky.

In other words, life, though full of challenges, is still beautiful at the same time. As people, with our own minds, and our own free will, we are capable of changing situations from negative to positive if we are willing to think outside of the box, and have hope that things will get better and will maintain at a high level if we are just willing to go after life with everything that is inside of our hearts.

Nobody is perfect and nobody deserves to be perfect. Nobody has it easy, everybody has issues. You never know what people are going through. So pause before you start judging, criticizing or mocking others. Everybody is fighting their own unique war.

We should never take for granted the people that have been in our lives through thick and thin, for these are our true friends. Take advantage of being able to show your true friends how much you care for them on a regular basis. Show the true friends how much you love them in times of good health and prosperity so that they will be even more willing to be there when times are harder.

Be that true friend to them as well. Make sure that when times are rough for them, that you never leave their side, not because you know they would do the same for you, but because of how much you love them.

Always be thankful for the people who never left!

Promise Yourself~

Promise Yourself
(one the most classic motivational poems)

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can
disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to
every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel like there is
something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your
optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best,
and expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on the
greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give
every living person you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, and too
strong for fear, and to happy to permit the
presence of trouble.
The Optimist Creed
From The Optimist International

The Will To Win!!!

The Will To Win
(one the most classic motivational poems)

If you want a thing bad enough
To go out and fight for it,
Work day and night for it,
Give up your time and your peace and
your sleep for it
If only desire of it
Makes you quite mad enough
Never to tire of it,
Makes you hold all other things tawdry
and cheap for it
If life seems all empty and useless without it
And all that you scheme and you dream is about it,
If gladly you'll sweat for it,
Fret for it, Plan for it,
Lose all your terror of God or man for it,
If you'll simply go after that thing that you want.
With all your capacity,
Strength and sagacity,
Faith, hope and confidence, stern pertinacity,
If neither cold poverty, famished and gaunt,
Nor sickness nor pain
Of body or brain
Can turn you away from the thing that you want,
If dogged and grim you besiege and beset it,
You'll get it!
-- Berton Bradley
